A Wealthy Consciousness

Is it possible to get rich by thinking rich? Changing your thoughts, doing things in a certain way, and having faith that you will succeed are also key ingredients, according to Wallace Wattle’s book “The Science of Getting Rich” which I read for this week’s optimizing yourself exercise. The practical advice in this book still rings true, although it was written over 100 years ago. He says the desire to get rich is the desire for a richer fuller more abundant life, which is everybody’s right. Having money allows you to do what you want, by giving you the tools and resources you need to live a fuller, richer life.

Wattles inspires you to become all you want to be, and it is your right to develop yourself to the best of your ability, using his technique of creative visualization or “forming a mental picture” of what you want.

Wattles says: “… everything that lives has an inalienable right to all the development it is capable of attaining. Man’s (or woman’s)* right to life means their right to have the free and unrestricted use of all the things which may be necessary to their mental, spiritual, and physical unfoldment; or, in other words, their right to be rich.”

Reading Wattles book is what inspired Rhonda Byrne to write “The Secret”, and it is about the law of attraction. Wattles lays out the proper kind of thinking and the specific actions that need to be taken to attract money. He says doing things in a certain way is practicing the kind of behaviors, like gratitude, using your willpower upon yourself, not others, and taking efficient action allow the law of attraction to work for you.

The steps to getting what you want include changing your thoughts and breaking out of the myths and mental patterns that may be impoverishing you. To create a wealthy consciousness, form a mental picture” of what you want, and don’t think about what you don’t want. He says “think of wealth, not poverty. Think about what you want to attract to you, and take action every day to successfully get what you want. Speak about what you want, and don’t complain or criticize, only focus on the good things that you want to have coming your way. Be grateful and thank God for the beautiful things you already have.”

But forming a mental picture is not enough, you must have faith that you will succeed, and take appropriate action to achieve your goal. And, in your dealings with others, give more value than you get, not monetary value, but more use value or help value, and be uplifting and make a personal connection with every man woman and child that you encounter. Also, be positive and aware that everything is working to help you.

By continuing to study the principles in this book, I am creating a wealthy consciousness.

My 4 Tips To Make Your Dreams Come True

My 4 Tips to Making Your Dreams Come True

Make your dreams come true

“The future is made in your mind”

John Lennon

We all dream of living lives where we are excited to get out of bed in the morning, where our needs for love and self- expression are fulfilled, and we are growing into our full potential as human beings.

This week I have been studying how to attract more of what I want into my life.  I usually look forward to my day, but there are times when I am not progressing, and need some help to get back on track to joy.  I know what I want, but fears and doubts get in the way and prevent me from believing in it, or contradictory thoughts about what I want cloud my mind.

A dream life comes to you when: you see it – as if in a movie imaging in your mind, believe it – as if you already have it, ask for it – and be crystal clear about what you want, and take action to receive it, says Rhonda Byrne, author of “The Secret”.

She says ‘The Law of Attraction’ on which the book is based, occurs when we attract back to us the energy that we are sending out.  So, if we’re not getting what we want, we have to change our frequency.

My 4 Tips to Make Your Dreams Come True:

1)      Be GRATEFUL for who you are now, and what you have already attracted.

Improving on who you are and what you want to do, depends on being grateful for the good  that you have attracted in your life to this point.  That feeling of peace and contentment will bring more abundance to you.

2)      DECIDE who we want to become

To change your journey in life, decide who you are now, and think about who you want to be in the future, not who you were in the past  Make room for who you are now and who you are becoming.

Tony Robbins, life coach and motivational speaker says: we have an identity that we carry around with us about who we are, that we need to update if it no longer fits.  Then we can focus on where we want to go now.

He says:  Ask yourself :  How Does it make you feel?   The power to get whatever you want is in you – in your mind, you have the power – Tony Robbins

3)      UTILIZE Your Gifts

Focusing on what YOU want to do and what gifts you have to contribute connects you to something bigger than yourself.  Ask for your gifts to work through you. First you have to know yourself, love yourself, and know what you want, or what motivates you.  What do you feel passionate about? This is not what someone else wants.  You have unique gifts to share. It’s about you.

Growing as a person and offering your unique contribution to the world as only you can, is what  truly fulfills us.   Michael Bernard Beckwith, a contributor to the Secret says:  “If you feel a pull towards doing something different to realize your potential , say YES. God does not call the qualified, he qualifies you through your yes “

Your dream doesn’t have to be perfect:   People feel happiest when they are making progress in what they are trying to do.  Attaining perfection is not what is important, but in each day moving toward the direction they want to go, and becoming who they want to be and fulfilling their destiny.

When we align with our higher purpose, and feel passionate about our lives, our needs get fulfilled.  We become who we want to become by believing it in our minds and taking action to make it happen, then start  realizing our unlimited potential as human beings.  The magnetic fields of energy that surround us will be filled with our positive energy and attract what we want to us.

Bettering Yourself – Week 41- Sept 30 – Oct 6, 2013 Make My Tomorrows Magnificent

Make your tomorrows magnificent

Make your tomorrows magnificent today!

“Whatever feelings you have in you are attracting your tomorrow”

This week I am going to re-read “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne, and work on attracting more of what I want in life.

I have read the book many times, and am familiar with the law of attraction that the book is based on, but I haven’t observed what my ‘feelings’ today say about tomorrow.

Rhonda says by being grateful for what we already have is the first step in the process to attracting more good in our lives, and that feeling of gratitude attracts more good to us.

What if we could make all of our tomorrows magnificent?

This week, I am going to use the  teachings of the secret to observe my feelings, and put the program into action in my daily life.  I will let you know how it goes next week.
