Shopping at the mall is a great way to watch people’s behavior, and find out what’s going on in your community, faster than anywhere I find. I had an appointment this afternoon, and when I got outside, it was raining, so I drove to Guildford Mall to buy some boots. On my way back out, I popped into the Sephora store, which is selling The 7 Virtues fragrance oils.
I met Brett Wilson a few years ago, from Canada’s Dragon’s Den TV Show, (the original Shark Tank) who invested in The 7 Virtues when it was pitched on the show by Barb Stegemann. Barb sourced fairly traded oils from farmers recovering from wars and strife in their countries, and turned them into vegan and cruelty free fragrances. I love the whole vibe of this brand, so I checked it out today. The conscious fragrance says “soothing the overworked.”
They only 7 Virtues rollerballs they had were in Jasmine Naroli fragrance at this location, and there were only a few left, but it smelled really natural and nice. Our skin is our largest organ, and we put so many products on our skin each day, like shampoo and toothpaste, and body lotion that contain chemicals, that naturally sourced organic products don’t have harmful side effects, and improve our health and mood, so it’s great to go natural.
Then I saw a crowd leaving the Apple store, and the security guard told me that the new iphone Apple XS Max came out yesterday, and a crowd lined up to buy it, and today lots of people were in the store trying it out. Perfect place to go on a rainy Saturday I guess. It has a wireless charger and 2 cameras and a whole bunch of other features. It costs over a grand Canadian. I’m still working on getting up to speed with the Iphone 6. I feel that there is always a new toy to capture people’s imagination at the mall!
