For this week’s bettering yourself exercise, as I began to work on believing in myself more, I looked for a big event to happen so I could practice believing in myself more, and share what I learned with you.
While no big event occured this week, I noticed that I needed to believe in myself more in small ways too, not only big ways.
Having confidence to do my best in small ways is huge as there are more small events in a day than big events, so I practiced believing in myself in the small stuff first.
For example, my youngest son got his driver’s licence this week, and has new found freedom. I set a curfew for him that is the same as what his two brothers had at his age. I knew it was the right thing to do because he is still in school and can’t be out too late driving.
He was fine with the rule, and I believed in my decision to address this small thing, and felt it was the correct thing to do instead of being unclear when I want him home.
