For this week’s bettering yourself challenge, I am working on getting better at identifying my emotional needs and communicating those needs to others.
Unmet needs create emotional upset, says Marshall Rosenburg in his book “Non Violent Communication”, and to feel more emotionally balanced we can ask for what we need.
He says by asking for the behavior we want as specifically as possible, we are more likely to get it.
This week, I am going to challenge myself to ask for what I need in my relationships at home. I will let you know how it goes next week.
